The Role

The Recruitment Specialist at P3 will play a critical role in spearheading the day-to-day sourcing of veterinarians and other key roles. This role and the candidates you source will have a huge impact on P3’s ability to provide gold-standard patient care. You’re a fit for this role if you have a background in recruiting, direct talent sourcing, or candidate research and are naturally curious about people and their talents! We’re looking for someone who is very organized, loves to work in a fast-paced environment and has a high degree of digital and social media fluency.

The Recruitment Specialist conducts searches to identify veterinarians using a variety of recruitment sourcing strategies and will search for both active and passive candidates. This role will report directly to the Director of Talent Acquisition.

Responsibilities

  • Pro-actively develop a pipeline of qualified veterinarian candidates nationally and internationally through traditional and creative sourcing techniques including leveraging LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, Indeed, stakeholder networks, and professional organizations.
  • Draft and send out recruiting messages to potential candidates and document and track all outreach efforts to maintain a comprehensive and up-to-date database of candidates
  • Generate reports summarizing talent pipeline in key geographic areas within Canada
  • Provide input into promoting P3 Veterinary Partners to raise awareness of the company and P3’s hospitals, both within Canada and internationally, to attract the best talent
  • Promote P3’s social media advocate programs

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 5+ years of direct sourcing experience in the veterinary, healthcare, pharmaceutical, finance, staffing, or IT sectors is required using a variety of creative methods; experience attracting candidates from outside Canada considered an asset.  A good pipeline/network of candidates in this space is considered an asset as is experience in the Veterinary field
  • Demonstrated ability to use various recruiting sources, including direct sourcing, e-recruiting, mapping and networking
  • Working knowledge of an Applicant Tracking System (ATS) such as Bamboo HR, Workday, Zoho Recruit, etc. is considered an asset; strong MS Office, database management and internet search capabilities are a must
  • Exemplary organizational skills and a demonstrated ability to track candidates and update the database/spreadsheets accordingly
  • Strong organizational and detail-oriented skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced and changing environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English is required.
  • You are a genuine “Head Hunter,” and will spend hours searching through various channels to find the best candidates. Persistency, and the ability to concentrate for long periods of time is required.
